Top 10 Tuesday: The Ten Most Recent Additions to My To-Read List

I keep two separate To-Read lists. One is a list of books I want to read and should read soon because I already own physical copies of them. The other is the list of books I want to read after I get them someday. This way, my TBR doesn’t seem too overwhelming, although I do own a LOT of unread physical books.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl

Here, by ‘To-Read List’, I’m referring to my actual physical TBR, i.e. the tons of books sitting on my bookshelves waiting to be read – but NOT collecting dust, you guys! 😉 I do take care of my precious books, okay? I stroke their spines, dust them, talk to them and…😶 *cough*

Anyway, here is a list of the 10 most recent additions to my TBR pile:

  1. Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
  2. The Sentence Is Death by Anthony Horowitz
  3. This Cruel Design by Emily Suvada
  4. Obsidio by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
  5. Girls of Paper And Fire by Natasha Ngan (giveaway prize from Jean @ Book Rampage)
  6. Autoboyography by Christina Lauren
  7. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
  8. 11.22.63 by Stephen King
  9. Betrayal In Death by JD Robb
  10. Jasmine Days by Benyamin (a lovely gift from a lovely friend, Udita @ That Curious Girl)

While I’m excited for all of these books, I’m definitely going to be reading Girls of Paper and Fire, Autoboyography, Jasmine Days and Crazy Rich Asians pretty soon for some of the reading challenges I’m participating in this year!

  1. Great list! I didn’t think to make a different TBR list, but I’m definitely seeing the benefits in doing to. I will need to carve out some time and do that, too. I haven’t read any of these books in your list, but I have heard a lot of great things about Crazy Rich Asians and I have it on my TBR as well. Hopefully you’ll enjoy all of these books!     • Good luck! Hope you like them both! I need to reread both Illuminae and Gemina before I pick up Obsidio – it’s been over a year or two since I read them and I don’t want to miss out on the story and the connections and then not enjoy Obsidio as much as possible.. this is one of the reasons I try to pick up a series only after almost all the books are already out or the series has ended. 🙈🙈

  10. I do the same thing with my goodreads shelves! “(want) to read” for TBR and “read-next” for “I own this and should read it already” 😅 and I’ve also got to get around to Autoboyography and This Mortal Coil and Gemina oops … but a nap calls. maybe.

  13. I read Autoboyography but unfortunately wasn’t too impressed. Maybe it’s because it’s contemporary and these books are not sitting very well with me lately.
