WWW Wednesday – 13th Feb 2019

Hey guys! How are you doing? February did not start off great for me reading-wise but here’s my reading update for this week.

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words

Here are the 3 W’s to be answered for this meme:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m still reading two books that I’d started in January (and I expect I’ll still be reading them next week as they are HUGE) and also started one just yesterday.

  • The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon: Page 40 of 344
Paperback. Really liking this so far, want to keep reading and loving the short chapters!
  • Elantris by Brandon Sanderson: Page 199 of 590
Audiobook + Paperback. This is taking some time even though I’m enjoying it, but the long chapters are making it hard to keep reading.
  • Voyager (Outlander #3) by Diana Gabaldon: 395 of 870
Audiobook + Paperback. Been listening to this one on my daily walks.

So I managed to finish one book in about 10 days. And it’s probably one of the shortest books I’ll read all year. That book is The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner, book 1 of the Queen’s Thief series. The first half was quite slow but once I got to the second half, I raced through the rest.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have too many books to read this month but I feel like I’m making no progress with my TBR at all. 🙈 When I finish one of the above books, I will be picking up one of the following:

  • The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
Need to read this for #YARC2019 with the Stars & Sorcery Book Club as well as for the Devour Your TBR Fantastic February Challenge this month.
  • Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
I definitely need to read this one now because I’m dying to read King of Scars as soon as I get it.
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
This one is for another group read for the #ReadingBacklistedBooks challenge hosted by Mridula @ Ecstatic Yet Chaotic and I’ve put it off too long.
  • The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
And I’ve strangely been feeling the urge to reread this series as I’ve only read each book once and that was years ago. I miss Mia and Lily and Michael etc.

So that’s my reading recap for this week. How about you? What are you reading this week? How many books have you read so far this month? Let me know in the comments below if you’re having a better reading month than I am, I really hope you are! 🙂

  1. yesssss so glad to hear you liked The Thief! personally I think books 2 and 3 are even better 😉 and I don’t think I’ve seen that cover of Six of Crows before, but OMG it’s gorgeous.

I just DNFed the ARC I was reading, but I’ve finished 7 books this month and am starting the 8th, woohoo 🎉

  2. I just started listening to audiobooks and I just finished my first one. I loved it! So much that I signed up for Audible. What is your favorite App or program that you use to listen to the books?
