WWW Wednesday – 6th March 2019

I didn’t post a weekly reading update last week as the wrap-up for the month went up on Friday but let’s see what I’ve read in the last week or so.

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words.

The three Ws to be answered:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m about 265 of 511 pages done with King of Scars. I am really enjoying it! Just want to keep reading but other stuff keeps coming up. 🙈

And it’s been over a fortnight since I picked up Elantris or Voyager but I haven’t DNFed them, I’ve just been too engrossed in the Grishaverse to pick them up lately. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll probably get back to them once I read some contemporaries or thrillers.

After Six of Crows, I only managed to finish Crooked Kingdom last week and I’m really starting to worry about my reading speed and the probability of reaching my reading goal this year. For some reason, I keep picking up big books and so, I’m unable to read more than one book per week. Goodreads says I’m 2 books behind schedule at the moment. So, I really need to get some solid hours of reading in.

Anyway, I liked Crooked Kingdom more than Six of Crows. I guess partly because I read them back to back so the events of Six of Crows were still fresh in my mind. And also because it made me cry.

Check out my review here if you want to know why.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.75

Oh God, I have so many books on my TBR this month even though I tried to keep some shorter reads, but which ones do I keep picking up? The big ones. 🙈

Nope, not this time. When I finish King of Scars (hopefully by tonight), I’ll start one of the following short(-er) books:

  • The Kiss Quotient
  • P.S. I Still Love You
  • The Beauty of the Moment
  • The Flower Girls

Which book should I pick up next? What are you reading these days? Which book are you excited to get to? Talk to me in the comments below!

  1. Ok we already had a long talk about joining the SOC/CK cult so I won’t start that again lol! But I can’t wait to hear what you think of KOS. That one has caused quite a stir among the Grisha faithful. Enjoy it! And check back in so we can have some more Grisha fun 🙂

  2. I wouldn’t worry about your reading goal, your books are bigger as you said and eventually, you’ll catch up to your goodreads reading goal! Besides, nothing wrong with submerging yourself in Grishaverse! I hope you do get to finish King of Scars tonight and can’t wait to see which one you pick next from your list

  3. I don’t blame you for getting engrossed in the Grishaverse, girl. Stick with it! Plus Voyager is a monster in itself to read. That is one that I would have to drop everything else and focus on just that to finish it I think. Not a multi-tasking read in my opinion. Sounds like you’ve got your hands full with current reads and your TBR! 🙂
