February 2019 TBR

I like having a set TBR for each month, even though I’m a mood reader because, without it, I might end up not reading much all month. It’s an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ kind of thing. So, I like to keep my month’s TBR on my nightstand as a reminder to try to read as much as I can.

So, for February, I have set a goal of 6 books as I’m already in the middle of 2 big books that I’m carrying over from January. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi: My lovely friend, Nandini @ Unputdownable Books, got me extremely excited for this book and I ended up getting the audiobook on Audible as I can’t get the physical book here yet, but I hope to at some point.

The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner: I’ve had this book on my shelf for a few months and I’ve heard amazing things about it from Regan @ PeruseProject who is one of my favorite BookTubers, so I’m finally going to read it this month!

Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan: I’ve been looking forward to this one since months and I’m so excited to finally read it!

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han: I read and watched the movie adaptation of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before a few months ago and it was sweet and fun and I’m ready for more Peter K in my life. ๐Ÿ˜Š

The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon: Oh! This one has been on my shelves probably since 2016 and now that there’s a movie adaptation coming out, I better read it soon! Hope to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the author’s previous novel.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo: I picked this one up twice last year and couldn’t make it past the first 2 chapters, which was disappointing since I really enjoyed the Shadow and Bone trilogy and found it quite easy to get into. But this month, I’m determined to read this book as it gets me closer to picking up King of Scars as soon as I get it! ๐Ÿ˜

I try my best to stick to the month’s TBR but sometimes, if I’m just not feeling it, I’ll go with my mood. No pressure. So, I’ll be happy if I read 4 or 5 of these.

So, that’s my February TBR, guess which one I’ll pick up first? And how many books are you planning to read this month? Which one are you most excited for? Let me know in the comments below. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Great TBR! I’m excited for many of the books you mentioned. I’m planning on reading Siege and Storm and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. I’ve also heard great things about The Thief so might pick it up on Audiobook from Scribd. Good luck on your reading!

  2. I’m going to be reading Gilded Wolves too! I hope it ends up being amazing. If I had to guess, I would guess that you’d leave Six of Crows for last since you’ve tried it a couple times.

  3. Iโ€™m also a mood reader! And it is helpful to set up a monthly TBR, even though you might not read all of the books on your TBR, youโ€™ll still get through some.

Six of Crows!! I love that book. I hope you enjoy it!! And yes to King of Scars!

I still have to choose my TBR for the month โ€“ want to set it up in my bullet journal. I still have The Miseducation of Cameron Post (randomly was accepted on Netgalley) so I might read that this month)

    • Exactly! My mood being quite unpredictable at times, it’s nice to have a list to stick to. ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m trying so hard to avoid King of Scars spoilers, it’ll probably be March by the time I get my copy. ๐Ÿ™ˆ
I try to set my TBR 2-3 days before the month starts, it gives me a sense of being prepared and ready for the new month. ๐Ÿ™‚
I’ve heard of The Miseducation of Cameron Post, but don’t know what it’s about – hope you enjoy it! Happy reading! ๐Ÿ™‚
